Being Redeemed

The first two weeks in Romania have been amazing. God has really been redeeming the race for me after a very hard couple of months of feeling purposeless. In Draganesti, Romania I got the chance to work with an amazing family and help them with growing their church. We passed out flyers to small villages, as well as handing out Christmas shoe boxes and sharing the gospel to three different public schools! Yes, you read that correctly, PUBLIC schools. It was pretty incredible being apart of that, knowing that sharing the story of Christ in schools would be impossible in the states. It was also really cool to be able to hand out Christmas boxes months after Christmas for kids who never got anything.

A little about the family I got to work with, they moved from Craiova, Romania which is where our squad is now located, to live in a small village to follow the call of the Lord. The church they now work with used to be closed due to the lack of pastors and missionaries. They now help with building relationships for the Kingdom of God and do things such as cutting and distributing wood for widows and orphans so they can have heat in their homes, the only heat they can get in their homes is from a fire in the winter, can you imagine that! They also help with giving food, clothing and things like books to those in need. Recently, they have felt called to work more in kids’ ministry, and I got the chance to help them with that. I can’t forget to share about their two beautiful daughters that they have! I absolutely fell in love with them and they have really changed my perspective on kids and becoming a mother one day!! This family has an incredible testimony and I didn’t even share half it! The Lord really used them to make an impact on my life and I could not be more thankful for it. I hope to stay connected with them and their ministry.

Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and know that I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

  1. I LOVE this! We had the privilege of meeting Eli five years ago…it is amazing to see and hear what the Lord is doing through her now. Give her my love! And it’s also encouraging to read how the Lord is redeeming your journey—how you are personally experiencing the Lord at work in and through you. Know that He who began that good work will continue it…

  2. Praise God for this connection that you have made! How the Lord builds relationship between his people to encourage us in just the right time and way 🙂 I’m so glad for this season of redemption and how you and the Serban family will be able to uplift others in the years to come!
